Terms of service

Last updated: July 17, 2026

The plain-English shape: you pay per screening with credits that never expire, your content stays yours, capture is consent-first, AI outputs support your decision rather than make it, and Indian law governs.

1. The agreement

These terms govern your use of DeepAssessment, operated by Refrit Private Limited ("we", "us"). By creating an account, taking an assessment, or otherwise using the service you accept them. If you use DeepAssessment on behalf of a company, you accept for that company too.

2. What the service is

DeepAssessment is a technical-assessment platform: hiring teams create coding assessments, invite candidates, and receive evidence reports — scores, session capture, integrity signals, and AI-generated code review — to support their hiring decisions.

3. Accounts and workspaces

  • You are responsible for your credentials and for activity under your account; tell us immediately about unauthorized access
  • Workspace owners and admins control who joins their workspace and what roles they hold
  • You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old

4. Credits, pricing, and payment

  • New workspaces include 10 free standard invitations with the full evidence report — no card required. AI-enabled invitations always use $10 credits
  • Paid screenings consume credits: $5 per standard screening, $10 per AI-enabled screening (which includes the candidate's in-workspace AI budget)
  • Credits are purchased as top-ups of any amount and do not expire
  • Prices are exclusive of taxes; GST applies to Indian customers. Payments are processed by Razorpay

5. Refunds and cancellation

Refunds are governed by our Refunds & cancellation policy, which is part of these terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use assessment results to discriminate unlawfully, or invite candidates without a lawful basis to assess them
  • Attempt to defeat, probe, or reverse-engineer the platform, its proctoring, or its scoring
  • Share, scrape, or resell questions, reports, or any part of the service
  • Upload malicious code or use the service to harm others

7. If you are a candidate

  • Capture happens only after you agree to the consent screen; the disclosed capture is a condition of taking that assessment
  • You agree to do your own work within the rules the assessment states — where AI is allowed, using it is part of the test, not a violation
  • Assessment questions are confidential; do not share or publish them
  • Your data rights are described in the privacy policy and cost one email to exercise

8. Your content and our IP

  • Questions, assessments, and candidate data you bring remain yours; you grant us the license needed to operate the service on them
  • The platform, its software, its scoring systems, and its design remain ours
  • Evidence reports are provided for your internal hiring use

9. AI-generated scores and reviews

Scores, code reviews, integrity signals, and copilot outputs are decision support, produced by automated systems over captured evidence. They are designed to be explainable and reviewable — and the hiring decision, including any rejection, is made by you, not by the platform.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential damages; our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the service and delete your workspace at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practicable. Sections that by nature survive (IP, disclaimers, liability) survive termination.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, with exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pune, Maharashtra.
